Hello!

Hello!

I’m Albin Billing, a game programmer currently on my last year of studies at The Game Assembly in Malmö!

My love for programming started when I was about 11-ish years old, back then we were learning how to draw shapes in JavaScript in school, if I remember correctly…

Later on I studied game development at LBS Kreativa Gymnasiet in upper secondary school, making games in Unity together with the art students. After LBS I followed the natural pipeline of applying to TGA, and to my surprise, I actually got in! 😱

In my free time I try to go out and practice photography. Ever since I took a photography class at LBS I have been kinda obsessed by it, even go so far as to getting into analog photography and developing my own negatives. I also have an old enlarger that allows me to print photos directly from negatives, but I have been too scared to try using it so far. My favorite thing to photograph are birds, and I recently started getting into astrophotography as well :)

Of course I also love playing games, most notably simulation/sandbox games where I can play around and build whatever I want. Games like Terraria, Kerbal Space Program, and BeamNG.drive are some of my favorites for that reason. That’s also why I really like The Witness by Jonathan Blow. It doesn’t explain anything and instead makes the player discover the world for themselves, in their own way.
